JIK 500ml Regular

There are many solutions to disinfecting your home or office space and keeping it clean. However, JIK serves as a multi-purpose cleaning solution. Meaning, it can be used on laundry, to clean surfaces, as well cleaning toilets and drains. To ensure the best outcome from its products JIK provides instructions for use as stated below:

This product is safe for use on most colourfast washable fabrics including cotton, nylon and polyester. To check whether your fabrics are colourfast add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of JIK to half a cup (125 ml) of water and apply to a hidden part of the garment (check all colours and trims). Leave for 1 minute, then rinse. If the colour does not change, then it is colourfast. If you wish to whiten fabrics, mix 1/4 cup (62.5 ml) of JIK in a bucket of water (10 litres). Soak whites and colourfast items for 10-15 minutes. Finally, rinse and then wash with detergent as usual. For stain removal on fabrics, add 1/4 cup (62.5 ml) of JIK to 5 litres of water. Soak stained items for 5-15 minutes. Then, rinse and then wash with detergent as usual.

For machine use, select a short (or pre-wash) cycle. Top Loaders and Twin Tub Machines require that you add 1/2 cup (125 ml) of JIK to water. Add laundry and allow cycle to finish. Select desired wash cycle and wash with detergent as usual. Front Loader use requires that you load laundry and start the cycle. Add 1/2 cup (125 ml) of JIK to detergent dispenser while water is running into the machine. Allow cycle to finish. Then, select the desired wash cycle and wash with detergent as usual.

For the purpose of cleaning your kitchen, bathroom, and surfaces, dissolve 1/4 cup (62.5 ml) of JIK to 5 litres in water. Wash floors, walls, kitchen counters, fridges, dustbins, showers, baths, basins and tiles and then rinse after 30 seconds.

For stain removal and germ/virus killing in toilets drains, and plug holes: Add 1/2 cup (125 ml) of JIK into the toilet bowl, down drains and plug holes. Rinse after 10 minutes. Do not use with any other toilet/household cleaner. For disinfection, dilute as appropriate only at time of use.
